O.D.'d on the Punch - Jerry's Corner...A View from the Plus Size

After being at the Regionals I came away with a few observations….first when you think you see some good athletes at your box you quickly realize what great athletes are after viewing the Regionals….they're commitment and heart are something you cant realize until you watch the event …there was one guy who competed in the master's division who did pull-ups and tore his hands up ….his palms looked like a horror movie…the one hard part to watch is these athletes train all year long and sacrifice everything in order to compete and could have a bad event and then that’s it see ya next season. And yes there were athletes that didn’t finish some events..note to those who were wondering why …time elapsed not there will to finish….and one athlete that heard heavy cheers from me and Kenny was Seth from Crossfit Solano. He started off slow on the first event, but opened up everyone's eyes in attendance on the second event as all the competion saw was the back of his shoes as he smoked the field …and as I watched all I heard was, "Who's that dude from Solano"….and that was the cool part of the event a lot of new athletes smoked the old guard and it should be interesting in July at The Games. .Kenny and I had dinner with Seth Saturday night after the event and he told us he called his coach and told them they need to work him harder….a true Crossfitter is never satisfied and always wants to get better… rock on
