The other day I was gassing out during a wod, so I asked some people I respect on why this was happening and I got some good answers….one if you not gassing out your not trying hard enough and another was your not pacing yourself correctly going to hard to fast, but my favorite from one of my good friends was brutally honest and direct to the point…"you're too fat"... what? …fake tears coming down my cheek…how could he?…I know you're saying, "Jerry that’s not right?...who was it?"...stay seated people…unlike some, I need brutal honesty….unfortunately in the past I usually hear, "no your not fat just big boned…or barrel chested" …please the mirror doesn’t camouflage biscuits and I shouldn’t either….and back to my brutally honest friend…he continued his honesty, "drop 60-80 more biscuits and you’ll kill it"…when he said kill it he was referring to the wod not the friend giving me the compliments….but lets be honest as much as I hate it, don’t ask for honest answers if your not ready for the response…last time I checked were not holding hands and chanting were Crossfitters...we break stuff, scream, lift weight run and kick butt, and yes try to improve on a constant basis ….brutal honesty should be something we want and need no matter how it’s delivered …rock on
