Quit - Jerry's Corner...A View from the Plus Size

You've probably read my past blogs about my deep dislike of juice bar gyms…really, you say, you had no idea?..well here’s another reason to hate them …machines have an off button; Crossfitter's don’t (hmm maybe a another tee shirt idea…Sherry take note).  My point...on a treadmill or bike you can lower the speed or just quit and maybe go have a refreshing juice to cover all the calories you just dumped…easy enough….unlike the juice heads (bars and biceps)...ha-ha…Crossfitter's don’t have the luxury of pushing the slowdown button or just giving up and quitting…sorry, quitting's not an option at Crossfit, in my eyes, it’s an easy way to get your walking papers.  In fact it took me 2 hours to complete Mt Suribachi and as my trainer so sweetly said, "Your big butt is finishing, I don’t care if we spend all weekend on this mountain"…and that’s the common theme ….finish…. if everyone else is done ahead of you… too bad… finish ….we even see the gifted athlete (Craig) fall off the box jump with a shin wound…first he tossed the box at Kenny...then picked it up and finished the wod…or craig again, blister opened on his hand and he duct taped it and finish the wod…true rock on moment.  So if you want to quit, buy a treadmill or a join a juice bar gym...or if you want a cool scar and a sense of accomplishing something give Crossfit a try.
